2018 Isthmus Winter Bowl!
Every year, Isthmus employees and their families celebrate the winter by heading inside and knocking down some pins. This year's bowling event was attended by 44 people at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park. For the first time in company history, nametags were needed at an Isthmus employee family gathering.
In addition to having a good time with good company, the event also raises money for charity. This year's charity was The Family Place, which provides day shelter, services, and support to families as they transition to permanent housing. Located just down the block from the Isthmus office, they are a valuable resource for the Lowertown neighborhood. For each strike thrown at Isthmus Bowl, $10 will be donated.
This year's highest scoring employee was new team member Sam Thiele with a score of 140. Sam was awarded the Isthmus Bowl Traveling Trophy by last year's winner Elliot Troudt. Prizes were also given to bowlers with the most strikes by an employee, most strikes by a family member, and highest score for a family member. Consolation prizes were given to the employee with the lowest score and family member with the lowest score. Four-year-old Jack Krech promptly spent his consolation prize (Target gift card) on a new set of Legos.
