Working side by side with the MnDOT Central Office ADA Unit, Edward has become a technical expert in the principles and practices of ADA-compliant design. In coordination with MnDOT, he has participated in 94 ADA field walks, conducted 300+ ADA plan reviews, and supported updates to their standard plans. Edward is proficient in the use of design software and his background includes construction inspection, preliminary and final geometric design, and plan production. This combination of experience informs his design philosophy which seeks to balance the needs and requirements of an overall project with how end users will experience the facility. He has applied his knowledge and perspective to support the ADA-compliant design of more the 350 pedestrian quadrants and nearly 60,000 linear feet of sidewalk.
While away from work, Edward enjoys spending time outdoors — downhill skiing, relaxing around a bonfire, attending games at Target Field, or being on the lake.
