Elizabeth brings an engineer’s perspective to her roles in Human Resources and Legal Counsel at Isthmus. Whether supporting transportation projects, document reviews, or administrative initiatives, she is known for the mindfulness and attention to detail she brings to her work. Prior to joining Isthmus, Elizabeth practiced as an attorney for 15 years and she also holds an undergraduate degree in Construction Engineering and Management. This combination gives her deeper insight into managing and negotiating contracts and partnership agreements that are mutually beneficial to Isthmus and our clients. Elizabeth has helped develop hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development programs and practices that support the Isthmus culture of individual autonomy and mutual accountability. As a project engineer, she has developed a specialty in the areas of pavement marking, signing, and detour plans. She is a relied-upon resource for reviewing MnDOT plans and documents, including her work with MnDOT Central Office on the Standard Specifications for Construction, 2020 edition.
