John brings extensive experience from both the public and private sector to his roles as Senior Transportation Planner and Lead of the Isthmus Transportation Planning practice. Throughout his career, he has focused on helping to build thriving communities through thoughtful multimodal transportation system investments. John integrates his technical engineering expertise with a human-centered design approach to find innovative solutions to complex challenges. He has led roadway and transit corridor studies, regional systems planning, and implementation of complex all-electronic toll systems on interstate highways. John served as MnDOT’s MnPASS Program Manager and Chair of the Transportation Research Board’s Congestion Pricing Outreach Subcommittee. He is a former member of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Council and a current member of the Shoreview City Council.
