Katie is a proficient leader in corridor modeling tools and workflows including PowerGeopak and the transition to OpenRoads Designer in the MnDOT work environment. With a background as a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry, her logic skills and attention to detail are well-suited for developing detailed corridor models with the accuracy required for use with machine control. She brings a calming, analytical perspective to project teams, and both her Isthmus colleagues and project partners regularly consult her for complex template design and earthwork quantities review. Katie has led internal training for our team members, as well as external training for agency clients and project partners.
Katie appreciates the ability to control her schedule and hours so that she can plug into both interesting project work and outside volunteer work for causes that are important to her. She has served in leadership positions at her church and the Montessori school her children attended, as well as volunteered at Hope 4 Youth, an organization that helps young people who are experiencing homelessness.
